The homeless popualtion
We need to be more appreciative to those who come to provide services to us. Think about it...those fine folk, who serve us, owe us ...nothing !!! Yet, we treat providers as if it is their job to provide for us, when it is our own. If we tried to do for ourselves, instead of always looking for a handout, we may find that our situations are only as bad as we allow them to be.
Stop using the Internet for ridiculous chat rooms and internet games; which have no educational value at all...instead, I challenge you to learn of your civil rights. Even as a homeless person, you still have rights and you need to know what they are. You would be surprised in what you find out. Don't wait around for me or other advocates to go to bat for you, learn of these things and stand up for yourselves. Your voices are more powerful than you realize, if you only learn how to use them, so spread the word to your peers and unite as one and start attending City Council and Wake County Board of Commisssoner's meetings that have direct effect on you and speak out. Stand up....for yourselves. It will accomplish more than you think it will.
